"Falling" in love :)

We met this bride a few months ago when she contacted us after seeing the stationery we did for the wedding of a relative.  The couple tied the knot in early November.  Absolutely Inviting created ceremony programs, menu cards, table numbers, and a seating chart for the fabulous event in a colour scheme of gold and orange (very fitting for the fall).  Enjoy this quick pic of some of the stationery from the event!

Purple Passion...

Over the past few months, it seems as though the vast majority of our clients selected purple as the main color for their weddings, with gray/silver being a top pick for accent colors!  We are sharing a few of the pieces we did for a recent wedding...thanks to one of the guests who shared the photo of the wedding program we did.  We love seeing our stationery in action!

Wedding Feature: Tremmaine & Elwood - "It's all in the details"

As we mentioned in our last wedding feature, we absolutely LOVE when we have an opportunity to showcase our work beyond the borders of the Bahamas. We were once again given the opportunity to provide the stationery for an international wedding when we were contacted by the bride Tremmaine, attorney and owner of Tremm Jocale - a jewelry and accessory business based in the Turks and Caicos- about her upcoming Orlando, FL wedding to Elwood, a network and systems analyst.

After one telephone conversation and a few e-mail and instant messages, during which the bride advised that she wanted hanging programs which incorporated the colors fuchsia and orange, we created a design which was classic and clean yet bold and youthful.

Here’s what the bride had to say:

“Absolutely Inviting did an AWESOME job on our wedding programmes!! We couldnt have done a better job on the monogram which we will continue to use! The programmes were absolutely stunning and you made our vision a reality! We will definitely be recommending you to others!! Absolutely inviting rocks!!!!”

The ceremony programs were ivory and incorporated the colors of fuchsia and orange in the monogram element and the ribbon. We also created seat signs for the bride and groom, table numbers, and place cards where the couple included hand written notes/keepsakes for the guests.

We loved the décor; it was absolutely breath taking. With this wedding it was definitely “all in the details”. See below for a sneak peek into their event:

Wedding Feature: Absolutely International - Lakeisha & Vincent

We absolutely LOVE when we have an opportunity to showcase our work beyond the borders of the Bahamas! Our last wedding for 2011 was held in Orlando, Florida, and we are so excited that our most recent booking is for yet another international wedding! For this reason, we thought it fitting that our first blog post for the year feature an international wedding.

When it comes to dealing with potential vendors for any event, reliability/dependability is a crucial deciding factor. Imagine then having to deal with a vendor, that you have never met face to face...who as a matter of fact was located in a totally different country...yet you had to depend on them to deliver a crucial component of your dream wedding.

Well this was the case with the bride Lakeisha, who decided to entrust Absolutely Inviting with the creation of the ceremony programs for their beautiful wedding in Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos Islands after we were recommended by a family member. Lakeisha was then able to view some of our work on our blog, along with the testimonials from some of our clients, and at the end was beyond pleased with the service and product she received.

The ceremony programs incorporated the colors of fuchsia and lagoon (aqua). We created a tea length booklet using metallic papers held together by a flat tied ribbon.
Here is some of the feedback we received on the programs:

"Wow! Simply fabulous and elegant" LGW
"Your work was flawless, beautiful and definitely a crowd pleaser in Turks Island - keep doing the awesome job you are capable of"
LD

We love how the colors were incorporated in every detail of the wedding and we loved seeing the programs in action at the ceremony! See below for a sneak peek into their event:

Congrats to a beautiful couple!

Wedding Feature: An Absolutely Plush Event!

A few months ago we were approached by Kelli & Steffan to design the stationery suite for their wedding celebration on July 23, 2011. Based on the vision they had for their event, we instantly came up with an idea for their stationery suite which consisted of a pocketfold invitation set with coordinating response cards, envelope liners, and wax seals customized with the couple's monograms, (surprise shower invites), ceremony programs, menu cards, table numbers, and a seating chart.

The suite used the base colors of cream and tan with coral to add pops of color. Metallics, Patterns, Transparent Papers, and Lush Ribbons were combined to make an Absolutely Plush set. The detail at this event was simply astounding - from the decor, to the amazing groom's cake which symbolized the groom's love for his fraternity, to the candy bar where guests were provided with bags with customized labels to fill up with their favorite candy.

We received AWESOME reviews on this set from the couple, their parents, guests, and their wedding coordinator. Here is what the bride herself had to say:
Good Morning Absolutely Inviting, I am writing to thank you for the invitations. I knew that your work and skill was untouched and mastered; but now that I have your actual product in my possession, I can truly say that your work reflects everything that you say about your company.

When we first met, I gave you my ideas and you listened to each detail. But better still, you brought that detail to life in your work. You gave me exactly what I asked for and more. I can see and have great appreciation for every hand-crafted detail that was placed into the invitations; each lined and sealed to perfection.

Thank you, Absolutely Inviting. You are and continue to be a great force within the local stationery industry; but I am sure that that greatness lies ahead for you above and beyond the local industry. Your work continues to speak for itself.

Thank you so much!

We were approached by this couple to design the "day of" stationery for their March wedding. On the 3rd day of Christmas Absolutely Inviting gave to me...the wedding of Krystle & Giovanni (Wedding Feature - October 2010)

We were approached by this couple to create one of a kind stationery for their October nuptials. The couple's wedding incorporated shades of purple with hints of green and silver (a very popular color combination this fall). The bride had a basic idea for the invitation, and Absolutely Inviting's task was to bring this "idea" to life. The couple loved their stationery suite which included a customized monogram, invitations, ceremony programs, hymn sheets, menu cards, table numbers, and a seating chart.

Just what the Doctor(s) ordered - May 2010: Wedding Feature

We recently completed a fabulous wedding stationery suite for the wedding of Dr. & Dr. -Mrs. Bowleg :-) @ "Dr.-Mrs.". We were extremely overwhelmed and humbled by the responses we received from the family, invited guests, wedding coordinators, etc. The event decor was done by our friends at Island Destination Services (IDS) who we featured in April - Please click here if you have not seen it as yet. Needless to say, it was one of the most beautifully decorated events we have ever attended.

The colors chosen were shades of ivory, gold, plum, and pinks. The stationery suite included ceremony programs, tented table numbers, menu cards, and our latest add on ... a customized unity candle! The clients gave us a basic concept of what they wanted and we created for them a stationery suite that they ABSOLUTELY loved! The common factors that linked the stationery pieces were the paper selection, ribbon choice, and a pre-designed monogram provided by the client which was also incorporated in the aisle runner.

This couple was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous

Their event ABSOLUTELY breathtaking
Their stationery - ABSOLUTELY INVITING!

Enjoy!

Nahdia & Jamaal - December 2009

We were appproached by this couple after they saw our stationery at the wedding of their friends Therell & Theron in July of 2009. We were extremely excited about this being our very first "off-island event".

The couple's wedding incorporated fuchsia - which turned out to be a very "haute" winter color, and Absolutely Inviting's task was to capture their wedding personality on paper...chic and fabulous. Their invitations gave their guests a preview into their highly anticipated wedding, and we received tons of compliments on this stationery suite which also included ceremony programs, menu cards, and table numbers.
See below for a sneak peek into their event.

Johniqua & Kennon - November 2009

Traditionally November is known as "Turkey month", but this couple's fab invites made another bird the star of the show. Their peacock themed invites were definitely the talk of the town!!! This couple told us their colors and theme, and we took it from there. Both the couple and Absolutely Inviting received amazing feedback from this invitation set.
Enjoy!

Tenille & Ingram - July 2009

After being asked by Tenille & Ingram to design their stationery suite for their impending nuptials, we hit the ground running with their design concept. Because they were inviting many out of town guests, they wanted to give them "a taste of the island". They purchased a customized logo which they incorporated from the invitations and programs to the aisle runner and gift bags! Their suite included save the date cards, invitations, programs, bookmarks, and table numbers.

The couple loved their products AND our service so much that they presented us with an amazing gift as a token of their appreciation. We were extremely humbled by this and once again we say thank you. The couple had amazing responses from their stationery set as well, and even had to convince some of their guest that they were done right here in the Bahamas. She e-mailed us to say that she was asked if she got her invitations from New York, to which she responded that they were done by an "island gyal with a dream". We love it!

This couple was ABSOLUTELY graceful.
Their wedding was ABSOLUTELY unique.
Their stationery - ABSOLUTELY INVITING!

***Just added here's an e-mail we received from the bride (this was so thoughtful we had to share). We hope you enjoy!

Island gyal with a dream, I want you to remember two things. The first is that I coined that term and the second is that you were most instrumental in making my wedding a success! From the moment that you walked into my office over a year ago and started pulling out your samples it took me two seconds to find someone who got what I was looking for.

I cannot tell you how many times on a stressful day when I just thought eloping would be so much easier that I pulled out that Save the Date or "The Invitation of the Year" just to remind me why I was going through all the stress. Your work is flawless and I love so much that you are a perfectionist. It was easy to just let you do your thing and just say yes to whatever you wanted to do because I know that whatever you presented it would be in line with my dream wedding.

If I had to do a wedding report card you would definitely get an A+ for your beautiful work. You have a fan and a friend for life.

I always try to give praise where it is due and for what you did for me you deserve a church service! I wish you all the luck in the world but you won't need it cuz gyal you gat talent!

Therell & Theron - July 2009

We were approached by Therell and Theron to design their stationery suite for their wedding on July 11, 2009. They wanted a style that was simple, elegant, and compact, and as a result they selected a mini pocketfold style invitation. Their suite also consisted of a ceremony booklet, table numbers, reception programs/menus, and tags for their gift boxes. Their selected colors were gold, and orange. After meeting with the client, we decided to use elements such as metallic papers, ribbons, and rhinestones to create their ultimate stationery set.

During the design phase of the couple's monogram, we decided to include a hibiscus which the couple fell in love with and which we incorporated throughout the set. Just as this couple was meant to be, this design must have been meant to be as to our surprise the hibiscus motif was also reflected in the decor of the reception site!

Due to the overwhelming responses prior to the wedding, we opted to post the client's feedback earlier. We must mention that we are humbled by the responses received by the guests today. However, the most gratifying responses were those of the bride and groom's mother who absolutely loved the style and quality of the couple's suite; we were given rave reviews by them as well.

This couple was ABSOLUTELY stunning.

Their wedding was ABSOLUTELY beautiful.
Their stationery - ABSOLUTELY INVITING!

Nicole & Keith - May 2009

We were approached by Nicole (daughter of former Deputy Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas - The Honourable Cynthia Pratt) and Keith to design their stationery suite for their wedding on May 22, 2009. They wanted a style that was simple yet elegant. This was achieved by combining their chosen colors - ivory, rust, and gold - with metallic, textured, and transparent papers and adding elements such as ribbons, rhinestones, and raised printing. Their suite consisted of a three layer invitation set with coordinating response cards, ceremony program, bookmarks, and table names/numbers.

Here's what the bride had to say:

I am so impressed by the professionalism, patience, organization and creativity of Dameeka Roberts. The invitations are absolutely breathtaking. I love, love, love them. The guests have done nothing but express how beautiful and unique the invitations are. This was the exact effect that I was looking for so I must say that I came to right place. I am now excited about the final products - the program and the bookmarks.
Thanks Again,
Nicole, A Satisfied Customer
