Wedding Feature: Absolutely International - Lakeisha & Vincent

We absolutely LOVE when we have an opportunity to showcase our work beyond the borders of the Bahamas! Our last wedding for 2011 was held in Orlando, Florida, and we are so excited that our most recent booking is for yet another international wedding! For this reason, we thought it fitting that our first blog post for the year feature an international wedding.

When it comes to dealing with potential vendors for any event, reliability/dependability is a crucial deciding factor. Imagine then having to deal with a vendor, that you have never met face to face...who as a matter of fact was located in a totally different country...yet you had to depend on them to deliver a crucial component of your dream wedding.

Well this was the case with the bride Lakeisha, who decided to entrust Absolutely Inviting with the creation of the ceremony programs for their beautiful wedding in Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos Islands after we were recommended by a family member. Lakeisha was then able to view some of our work on our blog, along with the testimonials from some of our clients, and at the end was beyond pleased with the service and product she received.

The ceremony programs incorporated the colors of fuchsia and lagoon (aqua). We created a tea length booklet using metallic papers held together by a flat tied ribbon.
Here is some of the feedback we received on the programs:

"Wow! Simply fabulous and elegant" LGW
"Your work was flawless, beautiful and definitely a crowd pleaser in Turks Island - keep doing the awesome job you are capable of"
LD

We love how the colors were incorporated in every detail of the wedding and we loved seeing the programs in action at the ceremony! See below for a sneak peek into their event:

Congrats to a beautiful couple!

Viva Las Vegas! Wedding Feature

This particular wedding feature is of personal significance to us.

The bride: one of my best friends, former school-mate, and maid of honor in our June 2006 nuptials The groom: my husband's fraternity brother, fellow All American track and field teammate, and groomsman in our wedding as well.

They met during our wedding festivities and if I didn't believe in destiny before - I do now, because they are simply meant to be. This couple decided to have their wedding celebration in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. The ceremony was held at Wynn (by the way - this hotel is absolutely stunning) and the reception was held at Trevi at Caesar's Palace (by the way the calamari is absolutely delicious :-)!

The colors chosen were aqua and pewter, and the stationery suite included invitations and favor tags. The clients gave us a basic idea of what they wanted, and we came up with a gate-fold invitation concept using their custom designed monogram as a closure.

This couple was ABSOLUTELY fabulous
Their event ABSOLUTELY Vegas
Their stationery - ABSOLUTELY INVITING!

Congrats again to our friends: Mr. & Mrs. Smith!

Spring Ahead: Wedding Feature

We have been so busy designing, we have been a little delayed with design updates recently; however, as promised, here is our first wedding feature for the year!!!

Looks like Absolutely Inviting is becoming more and more popular for "off island events" as this wedding was held on the beautiful island of Exuma in the Bahamas. The clients opted for a envelope fold invite and of course the colors, which were fun and bright, were representative of the season. This colorful invite used shades of pink, orange, yellow, blue, and green between the papers, graphics, and text. The stationery suite included invitations and ceremony program. Enjoy!

Johniqua & Kennon - November 2009

Traditionally November is known as "Turkey month", but this couple's fab invites made another bird the star of the show. Their peacock themed invites were definitely the talk of the town!!! This couple told us their colors and theme, and we took it from there. Both the couple and Absolutely Inviting received amazing feedback from this invitation set.
Enjoy!

Tenille & Ingram - July 2009

After being asked by Tenille & Ingram to design their stationery suite for their impending nuptials, we hit the ground running with their design concept. Because they were inviting many out of town guests, they wanted to give them "a taste of the island". They purchased a customized logo which they incorporated from the invitations and programs to the aisle runner and gift bags! Their suite included save the date cards, invitations, programs, bookmarks, and table numbers.

The couple loved their products AND our service so much that they presented us with an amazing gift as a token of their appreciation. We were extremely humbled by this and once again we say thank you. The couple had amazing responses from their stationery set as well, and even had to convince some of their guest that they were done right here in the Bahamas. She e-mailed us to say that she was asked if she got her invitations from New York, to which she responded that they were done by an "island gyal with a dream". We love it!

This couple was ABSOLUTELY graceful.
Their wedding was ABSOLUTELY unique.
Their stationery - ABSOLUTELY INVITING!

***Just added here's an e-mail we received from the bride (this was so thoughtful we had to share). We hope you enjoy!

Island gyal with a dream, I want you to remember two things. The first is that I coined that term and the second is that you were most instrumental in making my wedding a success! From the moment that you walked into my office over a year ago and started pulling out your samples it took me two seconds to find someone who got what I was looking for.

I cannot tell you how many times on a stressful day when I just thought eloping would be so much easier that I pulled out that Save the Date or "The Invitation of the Year" just to remind me why I was going through all the stress. Your work is flawless and I love so much that you are a perfectionist. It was easy to just let you do your thing and just say yes to whatever you wanted to do because I know that whatever you presented it would be in line with my dream wedding.

If I had to do a wedding report card you would definitely get an A+ for your beautiful work. You have a fan and a friend for life.

I always try to give praise where it is due and for what you did for me you deserve a church service! I wish you all the luck in the world but you won't need it cuz gyal you gat talent!
